Volunteer Help:

We always welcome volunteers to do all sorts of things: counting out and distribution of booklets; trips to UPS; clerical work; preparation of mailings; scenery painting; sewing; taking photos and, in particular, Board membership. (Ours is a working board and its members do a lot of company tasks on a voluntary basis.) If you have a particular interest or talent that would be helpful in bringing the joy of music to our children, give us a call. We always appreciate your interest in our endeavor. 

Project IMPRESARIO:

Our performances cost about one dollar per child, all inclusive. Most schools are able to help defray some of the cost of a typical performance, which costs about $300 and reaches about 300 children. However, with the budget problems in our schools, there are some schools which cannot contribute even a modest amount for a performance. We fund as many of these schools as we can out of contributions and grants, but every year there are children who don't see a performance. This year, we have started a new fund drive, which we call:  IMPRESARIO! 

Project IMPRESARIO offers individuals or businesses the opportunity to sponsor a performance in a specific school that is important to them. For a $300 contribution, you or your firm could bring the magic of opera to school children in your neighborhood, and we offer recognition at the performance. If you like, one of our board members will escort you to the performance you underwrite and introduce you to the audience as the person who made their experience possible. If you wish to distribute appropriate promotional gifts to the children, such as pencils, calendars, coupons, etc., we will assist you with that. The most important premium, though, for your contribution, will be the chance to watch the faces of the children as they experience what may their first live musical performance.
